Pop of Radiant Orchid

My everyday look is generally pretty casual with fun accents and accessories. That's why I absolutely love Rebecca Minkoff's handbags. She never fails to create a must-have bag in the hottest colors. And most recently, I've been eyeing her MAB tote. So when I spotted it in this gorgeous shade of purple, I just knew I had to have it. It's perfect considering Pantone's color of the year is radiant orchid. And when you have a fabulous bag like this to tote around you really don't need much else to make a statement.

Let me also say this bag holds everything! With a toddler and preschooler, I carry everything from sippy cups to extra clothes, so I love that it can double as a diaper bag without looking like one.

Rhinestones + Elephants

First I want to start off saying that we're moving!!! Crazy business. Granted it's just across town, but still exciting. Thinking about having to move everything though is daunting. I'm not really the greatest at condensing things down so we may have an issue. Especially with all the baby stuff. I'm just not ready to part with any of it. And that's the other sad part, we've been in our house for 5 years now and we brought both girls home here so I may cry when we do finally say good-bye to this house. Also I'll most likely be posting less since I'll be packing and cleaning the house. And that giveaway I promised last week, I'll have to hold off on until next week. Sorry!
On to other things, with the recent Labor Day sales, I just had to share with you my favorite find, the J. Crew Tilda rhinestone top. Since it's release earlier this year, I've had my eye on it, but was not willing to shell out the money for it. But lucky me, I found it marked down plus the additional 30% off at J. Crew in SD. I snatched up the very last one in my size and scurried off to the registers. I couldn't believe my luck. I just adore the rhinestone detailing on the collar. I immediately washed and pressed it so I could wear it. HAHA! When I love something I just can't help myself. Did you guys find anything amazing during all the Labor Day sales?

WIW: All Black

So my last post I shared my bright look and today I'm going the complete opposite direction with an all black look. I honestly contemplated what I would wear for the longest time. As I said last time I was invited to a taping of The Voice and they specified that they would like their audience to wear dark colors and no white or sparkly clothing. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some touches of color. They never said I couldn't have bright accessories. All in all it was a great day and lots of fun. I can't wait for The Voice to air. Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of me in the audience. Haha!

Oh and did I mention, no cell phones were allowed! AAAGGGHH! I seriously was dying!
After a long day of taping, I finally got to break out my trusty iPhone again and quickly snap this picture at Universal Studios.

WIW: Summer Stripes

I'm assuming that by now, you all may have noticed my love of prints, all prints from florals to seahorses. I've rocked them all this Summer, but I feel like there is one print that stands the test of time. Stripes. They're just classic. And all Summer long when I don't know what to wear I just go right to my striped tee and find some inspiration. Pair it with shorts, jeans, skirt, or layered with a dress, it all works. You really can't go wrong with a striped tee, I guess that's probably why I own just about every kind of striped top, long sleeve, short sleeve, tank, peplum, the list goes on.
Today's outfit stemmed from the fact that I literally had no idea what I wanted to wear, and so I went straight for the stripes and kept the look simple. But even simple can be fun. I decided to change it up a bit glam up my typical casual Summer look by adding some fabulous metallic platforms.
Now, when I ordered these shoes I wasn't quite sure if I could rock them because they were a little naughty to me. But I've become obsessed with them. Worn casually they're not as naughty as I thought.

WIW: Floral Playsuit

Jumpsuit, Playsuit, call it whatever you'd like. All I know it this little one piece is the perfect Summer get-up.
I've contemplated trying this look for quite sometime now and basically had never found a jumpsuit that I actually liked enough to spend the money on. That is until I stumbled across this beauty from Zara. It is super light weight so it's perfect for Summer. And it can be dressed up or down with a quick change of the shoes. What made this playsuit jump out at me was the cut and print. I always felt like the all solid black ones were to urban for my style, and reminded me of J. Lo, which is so not my thing. So I was waiting on the perfect color and print one to come along. This tropical print is soft and so not overwhelming at all. I felt like I was wearing fancy pajamas or something. But I felt so put together and it only took a few short minutes to get dressed. Which is always a plus when your only given like a 5 minute window to get dressed.
The hubs and I had a afternoon wedding rehearsal to go to and I knew this playsuit was that perfect in between fancy and casual. Seeing as it was at 2:30 in the afternoon, I definitely did not want to get too dressed up. However I can definitely see myself heading out in this outfit with a pair of dresser heels for a nice evening out. And there are so many great accent colors in this playsuit that it really can be paired with almost any color clutch too. Win! But for the days outing a pair of tan wedges was just it called for.  I wish I would have grabbed my neon clutch, but I literally had minutes to get myself together after sending the kids off with my parents. And this was the easiest thing to get to at the time.

I will definitely have to update you guys with a night time look as soon as I get the chance because I'm absolutely in love with this piece. I don't think there is another piece in my wardrobe that I've been this excited for in awhile.
And don't forget to enter the Lotus Blossom Design giveaway, here, for your chance to win a gorgeous floral enamel bangle.
Have a great week!

WIW: White Out

I've been dying to try this white on white trend for some time now, but I've been terrified too. Chasing 2 toddlers around all day isn't the cleanest job, which has kept me from trying this trend sooner. But I decided to give it a chance over the weekend. And thank goodness I took these pictures in the AM because I definitely got food on myself just minutes after taking these. If there's no chance of spilling on yourself then go on and try out this all white look. But if you're prone to spills and stains make sure you've packed one of those bleach pens in your bag the day you wear all white.

Lastly, some of you may be wondering what happened to Two-fer Tuesday's. Well now that we're in June I wanted to start a new series, "Steal Her Style," where I will share celebrity inspired looks. I received so much positive feedback on my recent Inspired by MK & Ashley post that I thought it would be fun to make it a weekly thing. So, please leave comments letting me know which celebrity styles you envy and who knows I just may "Steal Her Style." Look for my first post later this week.

WIW: Denim on Denim

Hello June!
Hope you had a wonderful first weekend of June and are experiencing beautiful warm weather as we head into Summer.

This weekend, I stumbled across this adorable printed denim skirt at my favorite place, Target. I couldn't leave without it. Denim is an essential to anyone's wardobe, that great pair of jeans, shorts, and shirts, I have them all, but the only thing that was missing from my wardrobe was a great denim skirt. Granted I worked at Abercrombie in college so I do have a stash of denim mini skirts, but I don't find them ever appropriate to wear any longer. Not only are they literally mini, but they're just so not cool any longer. I don't know why I still have them. But my closet was in dire need of a denim skirt for this Summer. And along comes this skirt, with it's tribal print and light wash, I knew it was the perfect skirt for Summer.

Also, the fit of this skirt is incredible! I've never had anything from Target fit so perfectly. So if you're looking for this skirt, know that it does run a bit smaller then other Target bottoms. And if you're petite, the XS is very true to size. I find that Target does vanity size and often times their XS do not fit as a XS should which usually leads me to hot washing and shrinking. I won't ever buy anything from Target that requires tailoring, it's just not worth it, but a hot wash to shrink before I first wear it is not totally out of the question. But this skirt fit without any hot washes. So I definitely recommend this for you petite gals looking for a cheap but cute denim skirt.

Vacation Style

Since I had shared with you previously some of the things I was hoping to find and wear on this vacation, I thought I might as well share some of my island style.
Packing for this trip was a breeze, dresses, sandals, and bikinis galore. I promised the hubs to pack as lightly as I possibly could. And I some how managed to do just that, getting Baby Sis's and my own clothes in one carry on. I'm stumped as to how I did that, but it happened. A great tip for those momma's traveling with little ones, pack clothes for them that can be tossed if you don't have room after all the shopping you do while on vacation. I took PJ's and play clothes that the girls were growing out of that I didn't have any attachment to so that they could be thrown away before we headed back to reality. I even left behind a few of my own things, an old beach cover up to be exact. Another little tip, pack inexpensive clothing. I'm a worrywart  so I always think something could happen, therefore I don't like to take expensive clothes, shoes, etc when I'm traveling in case anything gets lost especially when checking bags in an airport. And aside from my Mini MAC nothing else was so valuable I would die if it were lost.
