What I Wore: Neutral in Leopard

What girl doesn't love a little animal print and some pink!?
When wearing animal prints my only fear is looking too Jerseylicious or Snooki-esque. Ha! But over the years I've learned that the best way to wear animal prints is to limit it to one item and keep the rest of the outfit simple.

This top is one of my favorite's because even though it is leopard print, it's neutral. The simple black and white color is right on trend and super wearable. And best of all it doesn't over power me. That's another thing with animal prints, if you're on the petite side or just very slim make sure the print doesn't over power you. While I'm not truly petite because I'm right on the cusp of 'regular' and 'petite' depending on the brand, I do find that over the top animal prints tend to swallow me and that goes for other large prints as well.
And how fun are these shoes!? They remind me of Barbie. The color is so vibrant and fun for Spring, plus they're ridiculously comfortable.

  1. It's always the right time for animal print! Your shoes are too cute. And don't get me started on your distressed denim (I'm a bit obsessed with distressed denim at the moment). Love it all!

  2. oh man, I feel like I'm always overwhelmed by animal print - I'm always afraid of looking like peg bundy! I think pairing it with white is the perfect way to keep it neutral.

  3. Thanks ladies!
Kristi, I've been obsessed with distressed denim for years now, haha! I think its the ex-Abercrombie and Fitch rep in me.

Franziska, I felt pairing it with white kept it neutral too and definitely no peg bundy's here. hahaha!

    XOXO!
