A Day At The Fair

No Summer would be complete without a trip to the local county fair. Check out some pictures from our junk food eating, fun filled day at the fair.
The first prize of the day! Boy was she excited to win this giraffe.
Love these sweet little moments between Daddy and his baby girl.
Just chilling on the steps waiting for Big Sis to get off the ride.
Check out Big Sis racing away in the background. She was so excited to be riding all by herself like a big girl.
"Look no hands, Mommy!" My little daredevil.
Fair food. So bad for you but tastes so good! Mac & cheese topped philly cheese steak sandwich. Yum!
Baby Sis getting a ride from Daddy.
What would the fair be without a little face painting.
Baby Sis was happy to just be at the fair, she didn't care she was too small for the rides.

Steal Her Style: Gwyneth Paltrow's Preppy Stripes

For this month's first Steal Her Style post, I wanted to share Gwyneth Paltrow's stripes on stripes look. First off, stripes is one of those tried and true prints that stays in style all year long. And secondly mixing prints and patterns seems to be a hot trend this Spring and Summer, so why not mix up your stripes. What makes this look work is the play on light and dark.

I chose to use Gwyn's look as an inspiration for my outfit, but modified a few things to work for me. The hemline of Gwyn's skirt while gorgeous on her, just doesn't work on my 5'4 frame. It would make my legs appear shorter and so I chose to go with a body con skirt that hit just above the knee.
Outfit Details:
Top: J. Crew [last seen here, use code "summer" to get an additional 25% off] | Skirt: Forever 21 [old, similar here] | Shoes: unknown [similar here] | Necklace: Groopdealz | Watch: Target | Bracelet: Lotus Blossom Design c/o [P&P and LBD collaboration floral enamel bracelet available now]| Sunnies: House of Harlow | Baby Sis wearing Juicy Couture via Ebay

Whose style should I steal next?
Come back for a fabulous giveaway tomorrow. And as always Thanks for following!

What I Wore: Retro Femme Meets Preppy

Hope you're all having a great weekend so far. I wanted to share with you a cute, casual look perfect for weekend activities with the family, whether its a BBQ or a trip to the zoo.
If you didn't already know retro is totally cool again. But instead of embracing the entire retro femme look, I wanted to incorporate it into my everyday style. So this scarf head wrap was the perfect little accessory to complete my look. Added bonus, it keeps the hair out of my face while chasing the girls around.
**Fashion Tip: Try incorporating a single decade inspired piece into your everyday style for a chic new look that's not over the top and will have you looking stylish and not like a walking fashion faux pas. Or one of those crazy pre-teen/teenage kids in mall. Ha!
The Details:
Shirt: Forever 21 [old, great option for spring here] | Jeans: American Eagle [same here] | Booties: H&M [purchased this week, similar here] | Head wrap: Forever 21 [same here] | Necklace: GroopDealz | Bracelets: ILY Couture, GroopDealz, Stella & Dot| Sunnies: Vince Camuto [same here]
&
Baby Sis in: Target Dress [old] | Leggings: Children's Place | Headband: Handmade by this Momma

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Big Sis's Style: Valentine's Day Ballerina

I've had so many mom's in the last couple of weeks ask where I picked up my daughter's tutu. So I thought I would share it with you all too. I'm first going to say that as a young SAHM I totally get the need to budget. Since the kiddies grow so fast that I almost never buy anything unless there is a ridiculously good sale. And I'm always one of the first to hit up Target the day after a holiday. Especially after Valentine's day, all things pink call my name. Plus those heart Reese's are AMAZING and at 50% off how can I resist!?

So here's my little ballerina...
Crown: Icings | Sweater: Target [old] | Leotard: Children's Place [snagged this last year right after Valentine's day for $3] | Tutu: BuyBuyBaby [purchased last year, loving this one, I spotted a very similar tutu at TJ Maxx recently]

Thanks for reading along!
