What I Wore: Polka Stripes + Rain Boots

Once again the fickle California weather strikes again. We went from having 80 + degree weekend to rain. I'm not fond of this one bit. But my girls do love watching it rain. As soon as the rain broke for a bit, I quickly jumped at the chance to put on my rain boots and run out to do a few errands.
Despite the rain, it's never really to cold out for a skirt. Definitely one of the perks of living in SoCal.

One of my favorite ways of mixing prints is pairing polka dots and stripes. It's one of the easiest yet chic ways to mix prints. And it's almost fool proof, you really can't go wrong mixing these two prints.

The Details:
Sweater: Old Navy [similar here] | Shirt: H&M [old, similar here] | Skirt: Forever 21 [similar herehere] | Boots: Call It Spring for JCPenney [last worn here] | Necklace: J. Crew Factory | Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Watch: Merona for Target [same here] | Sunnies: Vince Camuto [same here]

Look at this crazy girl playing in the wet grass. At least she was in her play clothes and not something nicer. Otherwise, I may have freaked.
Have a great weekend! And thanks for reading!

What I Wore: Boucle + Rain Boots

The weather in SoCal has been so indecisive lately. It goes from 80 degrees one day to rainy the next. I'll get dressed thinking it's one way, walk outside and immediately run back to my room and change because it's warmer then I expected. Well rainy day's are no different. One minute it'll be pouring, next minute it's sunny and dry.

So when I hear there is or going to be rain, I jump at the chance to throw on my rain boots. Last year, I wasn't too sure about the rain boot trend but this year I've been all for them. A messy bun, comfy sweater and rain boots have become my rainy day uniform.

What I'm Wearing:
Jacket: Nordstroms [oldie but a goodie, similar here] | Sweater: Gap [similar here] | Leggings: Forever 21 [same here] | Boots: Call It Spring via JCPenney [similar here] | Necklace: Hello Fab [buy here] | Bracelets: Lotus Blossom Design [visit their Etsy shop here & check out their blog here] | Sunnies: Vince Camuto [same here]

It was Big Sis's first time seeing a movie in theaters and she was beyond excited for it. Check out what she wore for our outing. She loves to post for outfit pictures just like her mommy. I maybe creating a little monster, but I think I'm ok with that. Ha!
