Weekend Recap: Baby's Sis Big Top Birthday Bash

So as you all know Baby Sis turned 1 a little over a week ago. But since Mother's Day weekend fell on the same weekend as her actual birthday we held off on having a birthday party till this weekend. I was super busy last week prepping for the party and am so so happy that it's all over and I have a little breather before I go into party planning mode for Big Sis.
And here are some pictures from Baby Sis's big day.
I made these simple little centerpieces because I thought the Hydrangeas looked a little like popcorn.
Mommy and her girls.
Reunited with my best girlfriends and it feels so good.
Successful cake smash. She was covered from head to toe in frosting. Thank goodness we were at our community park and the pools have brand spanking new showers to hose this little girl down. HAHA!
Big Sis showing off her face painting. I think we may need to have a clown to face paint and make balloon animals at every party. This girl loved Freckles so much.
I loved this little vintage ruffled onesie that I picked up on Etsy.
WHEEEEE! A little outfit change and some fun on the swings. This girl had a fabulous celebration.
Just showing off our crowns. Princesses all the way.
This just cracks me up. Big Sis stole my besties. HAHA!
And a little family picture to top it all off.

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Sis!

Last year I gave birth to this sweet little girl. I cannot believe how fast this first year has gone by. I guess I'm not surprised. She was eager to join the world last year, barely making it to the hospital in time before she was born, 7 minutes later.

Baby sis has changed our lives for the better and I cannot even begin to imagine life without her because she's just the happiest, loving little nugget, even putting up with big sister's bullying.

So instead of an outfit post today, I wanted to share with you some moments during Baby Sis' first year.

Happy Birthday Baby Sis! Your first year of life has been filled with so many great memories and no doubt there will be many more to come.

Weekend Recap: Easter Eggstravaganza

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend with your friends and families. We certainly had fun. It was Baby Sis's first Easter so that was exciting. And the girls got to go to our community egg hunt.

Here's a bit of our weekend in pictures.
Saturday morning with my little egg hunters.
Ready. Set. Egg Hunt!
Baby Sis took a break while egg hunting to watch the other kids.
Big Sis's Outfit Details:
H&M sweater, top, and skirt | Leggings: Target | Sandals: Old Navy
Big Sis's egg hunting outfit. Love my little preppster. Layering just like mommy.
Daddy wanted to make the girls' Easter baskets this year. Not too shabby. And they didn't end up with baskets full of baseball stuff. Whew! Haha!
Attempting to get another picture with my girls.
Look at this girl go. Baby Sis only 10 months old and attempting to run through the grass.
All dressed up for Easter. I love when they're nice to each other. Ha! They're both feisty little gals so moments like these are rare.
Once again Big Sis is distracted. Oh well, best pic of the girls and I in our Easter dresses.
Check back tomorrow for details on this Kate Spade dress.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend and that this week will be nothing less.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Disneylad

Just another day at Disneyland. The weather was too amazing this week to not visit the happiest place on Earth. And I guess we weren't the only ones thinking that because the park was packed even more then usual for a weekday.

But the question always remains, what to wear? It's an all day trip and while it's in the upper 70s during the day it quickly cools off come late afternoon. So keeping it simple and dressing in layers are key to staying comfortable throughout the day. One of my favorite ways to look put together yet still feel completely comfortable and capable of running around and chasing my girls is pairing a white tee with a blazer and jeans.  And to dress up a white tee, I love adding a little sparkle with a statement necklace.[Sorry I didn't have any better outfit pictures.]
At the 4D Sneak Peek of The Great and Powerful Oz.
Before it got too hot while waiting in line, I also had this leopard scarf on. Never enough neck accessories.
The Details:
Blazer: H&M [old, similar here] | T-Shirt: Target [only $5 this week in stores, same here] | Scarf: Old Navy [similar here] | Jeans: American Eagle [same here] | Shoes: Simply Vera Wang [similar here] | Bag: Steve Madden [worn recently here] | Sunnies: Vince Camuto [same here] | Necklace: J. Crew Factory [same here] | Bracelet: Stella & Dot [FYI: be careful if you're planning on wearing you're Renegade bracelet to Disneyland, security will molest it and act like it's going to stab someone. So HIDE IT in your bag!]

We just love Disneyland, our girls definitely have a good time when we go. I mean look at my little Snow White spinning on the Tea Cups with her daddy. That little face says it all...pure happiness.
Sisters. This is what they do while waiting in line.
Snow White made a new friend while waiting in line in Cars Land. This wasn't the only friend she made that day. She found another little Snow White twin and immediately bonded over their dresses. Ha! Such a girly girl, bonding over clothes.
My littlest girl and I just hanging out and taking selfies. How cute is she in her chambray dress? Chambray on babies is a big YES!
Baby Sis's Outfit:
Dress: Baby Gap [old, belonged to Big Sis, loving this one] | Shoes: Old Navy [old, similar here] | Headband: Handmade by a friend
