A Few Things About Me

First and foremost I am a twenty something mommy to 2 little girls. Big Sis is 2 and Baby Sis is now 9 months old. Before my life became devoted to my little fashionistas in training, I did the career thing, graduated from the University of  CA, Santa Barbara. Yup! One of Playboy's top party schools. And yes, I did my fair share of partying. I was also a sorority girl, Alpha Delta Pi to be exact. I grew up in a small town so I wanted to have full college experience. But life came full circle for me when I met the Hubs and ended up buying a house in the town I grew up in.

About My Style

The one thing my friends have always complimented me on, is my ability to mix high and low end pieces and make them look expensive. So I'm hoping I can share that with you all, and show you that looking good doesn't have to cost a lot. I also like to think that I'm pretty good at spotting a good sale. While I think the Hubs would disagree with that. He foots the bill, so all he sees is the numbers not the amazingness of each piece.

I'm also not afraid of trying new styles and looks. But for the most part, I lean towards classic feminine, flirty, and preppy styles mixed with some boho.

Why I Started This Blog

As a SAHM, I find myself talking to babies all day long. So my only real adult interaction some days is through social media. And, quite frankly, I'm tired of Facebook and seeing everyone's ridiculous statuses about where there at and what they're thinking every second of the day. Right? Who's with me on that? Therefore, I use this blog as an outlet and a way to share a little bit of my fashion and style. Along with that, it's a promise to myself that I would never be caught dead in mom jeans. You can hold me to that!

I've always been an avid fashionista and a total shopaholic. For as long as I remember I've always wanted to work in the fashion industry. I fantasized about being a designer, stylist, even a buyer. But obviously my life has taken me in a very different direction. So this blog gives me a little satisfaction that somehow I'm following my dreams of being in the world of fashion.

Finally, I started blogging because in my small town I don't know too many people that share my enthusiasm for fashion. And the biggest proof of that is at Target. Everywhere designer collection Target has released has not once sold out in our stores, not even the much dough after Missioni collection. I never have to buy items from the designer collaborations at full price. Did I mention we don't even have a Nordstroms in our mall? Crazy, right!?

Anyways, let me just finish by saying I'm not one of those fancy bloggers who gets paid to do this sort of thing. So since this is all in fun, I hope you will enjoy my musings and share some of your own personal style with me.

XO!

P.S. You'll be seeing a lot of my backyard in my pictures, because I take my own pictures. Thank goodness for self-timers and tripods to make this all possible. And with 2 toddlers running around I can't very well set up and shoot just anywhere.
